Welp...ATS bit the dust

It was the ultimate death of online forums. Traffic between what we have left, is stark by contrast.

Over a quarter of a century that place stood. Only to be destroyed by the owner himself. We saw a community, Bill saw a paycheck…..

Then he sold it to a bunch of dickheads — and you damn well better believe HE KNEW just who he was selling it to! But he didn’t care. So FUCK YOU BILL!!!

The original holding company, in my opinion, was involved in a whole lot more media "content" than I think most people knew about.  ATS was a convenient excuse for legitimacy, to cover for some of the less than legitimate content being served up by the same servers, but different URL's.

Hence, the reason he didn’t want to sell it to us. There is no way we wouldn’t have exposed that shit, after the fact. He knew that was our nature…..

In practice people don't seem to care about how trustworthy their platforms are or who has control of the back end. Resistance and airing of complaints lasts a couple weeks or months, the loudest get censored if they don't fall in line, then it fades from the collective memory until some event triggers it again. Rinse and repeat.

The site people have been herded to as a replacement for ATS is a prime example. A person with a history of sketchy behavior reappears, engages in more sketchy behavior, perpetrates a fake "Russian hack" against their own community, and they are still being held up as the torchbearer of the ATS legacy. Clout-chasing carpetbaggers with weak character aren't my first choice of leader, but I'm known to be fussy about that sort of thing.

These things work themselves out eventually.

I just haven't come up with a fitting punishment for you and your ilk.

Our interns have been dispatched to Pyongyang and are studying their model closely.

Justice will be swift, brutal, and dispensed at random to ensure we meet out equity and inclusion goals.

After ATS got hacked most recently, I changed all my browser settings to dump all cookies on exit. This actually turned out to be a really good move, because I found numerous cookies and other spyware lurking in my browser before that, but I didn't know where it was coming from. Now I do. I saw all kinds of spyware.

After that, I just lurked at ATS knowing when I logged out (i.e. closed my browser), it would all end. I used to have an app called "blackice" which would tell me what was going on, but all apps like this get bought up by the bit companies who want to obscure this stuff. Anymore, it's hard to tell what's on your PC or phone.

Trump posted it himself. So he will have hellfire from Barack and the left, if not true…..

I would not have posted it, if it wasn’t from the goats mouth.
