Attachments and embedding images

By attaching images you can embed them in your post, no linking required.

1. At the bottom of any thread or post creation page, just above the post/preview buttons, you'll find "Attachments".

2. After clicking to select a file or doing a drag and drop, they will appear in a list at the bottom of the "Attachments" section.

3. The images will embed wherever your cursor is located at the time you click the "Insert Into Post" button.

That's it!

Limits:
General attachments can be up to 500kb
A gif can be 750k.
A PDF can be up to 2mb.
4 attachments max per post.

I don't yet know if prior attachments can be imported for posts, but will update when I figure that out. If it exists, I've yet to find it. (10/23/24 Myke will be working on this. Attachments do follow you, but using it is a convoluted PITA right now.)

If you're trying to upload and it's not appearing on the list at the bottom, there may be a size issue (insert phallic humor). I have circumvented that by taking a screen shot of the image and cropping, but there may be easier ways on desktop.

If you're trying to upload and it's not appearing in the list at the bottom, there may be an attachment limit. They have to be individually edited for each forum, so you can post to the "Questions and Suggestions" forum with the relevant information (what forum it occurred on and how many attachments you were attempting).

Got it, thank you.

Yes, same way I felt.

It makes sense after you know, but it's not intuitive.

I was scouring the UI looking for an embed button that doesn't appear until after you attach.
