Armed man arrested outside Trump’s Coachella rally

Looks like they're at it again.

The suspect was caught about a mile from the rally venue with a phony-entry pass, according to police. He was also carrying a loaded shotgun, handgun and high capacity magazine.

“We probably stopped another assassination attempt,” Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said.

The suspect, identified as Vem Miller, was intercepted by police at a checkpoint about a half-mile from the rally entrance. He was carrying a fake phony press and VIP passes.

“They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,” Bianco said, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

Miller is believed to be a member of a rightwing anti-government organization, according to Bianco, and was plotting to kill Trump.

edit - Does anyone have even the remotest idea how difficult it is to get multiple passports???? It's like SERIOUSLY difficult...and to do it without getting flagged by INTERPOL is next to impossible! Plus, to do it illegally takes BIG money (i.e. tens of thousands of dollars, like $50k for starters, for a credible credential). No backwater hack is going to be able to do this! Not even close!!

I traveled internationally for almost 10 years non-stop. Went to over 65 countries for work. A passport is like a sacred document when traveling internationally. They are not taken lightly at all. No way does some street person get more than one valid passport (US or otherwise)! Just no way! Can it be done? Yes, but it takes a truckload of cash, numerous connections (of the unsavory variety) and some monstrous risks which are totally not worth it...unless you're a big time player-criminal-arms dealer type. Just no way! OR...you're a fed!
