Posting, Quotes, Replies

#1
I've change the 'reply' settings to only quote what the user posted and not everything.

Also, if you'd like to 'quote' multiple posts in a thread, just select the check mark next to the post, then click 'quote' on each post you want to include, then reply as usual.

Hope this helps, more in-depth tutorials coming soon, as I get time.

You can also use BB Code to open and close quotes.  I played around with that yesterday when responding line by line to a post.

Also, if you hit the quote button it will break up the post, but you have to know how to use the little red carriage return arrows at the right to split the sections up to where you can write in between two quoted paragraphs or sentences. (and this is kind of difficult to explain, but I can if anyone is interested).

The easiest way is to just use BB Code to do it.  Just "{quote}" to open a quote, and "{/quote}" to close a quote (EXCEPT...use straight brackets "]" not the curly braces "}" I used. If I type the syntax correctly with the straight brackets (here) it inserts a quote (here)).  Dammit, ya' did exactly what I told ya' to do!!  LOL!.  Just don't forget about the close quote at the bottom of a quoted post; you don't need to close the quote at the very bottom.

Edit - LOL...I used the correct syntax and the system did exactly what I typed, which screwed up my formatting, so I had to change the "]" to a "}" instead, but if you know BB Code, you already know you have to use straight brackets not curly braces.
