Göbekli Tepe blows up quite a bit of the Bible if you think about it.
The Catholic Church (among others) would likely be really happy if someone just re-buried Göbekli Tepe under the Turkish sand for another 10,000 years.
It's not the fact that these people existed, it's the fact that they likely existed 5,000 years before the ancient Egyptians, the Sumerians and Mesopotamia. They essentially existed before the cradle of civilization occurred. The Bible spends time explaining away human civilization which existed before the events in the Bible as a bunch of idolaters, sinners and slaves. Having a civilization which existed 5,000 years before this which was seemingly none of these things really jacks up the whole story.
The Catholic Church also makes an effort to distance themselves from the Old Testament and relies heavily on the New Testament. Göbekli Tepe forces the church to put a lot more stock in the Old Testament to back the narrative up to before the people of Göbekli Tepe. This then starts to change the message of the church and the emphasis on Jesus. Homey don' play dat shit! This is why you seldom even hear about this place (if you've heard about it at all).
