2028, the Olympics are in LA. It takes forever to get permits.
Now the red tape and regulations...that he had a part in implementing...are gone. Build cheaper and faster now.
This is going to sound crazy, BUT.....
I grew up in the suburbs of Seattle and as kids we'd see some of the big planes leave a vapor trail, which we'd watch until they disappeared. They really didn't last that long, and never criss-crossed the sky like they have the past decade+. Chemtrail? I don't know, BUT....
Even my little corner of Idaho gets skys full of these trails. Now here's where I'm going.....
Our forests are being decimated by pine bettles and every year our camping spot in the wilderness showed more and more dead tress. We're told it's 'climate change' giviing these pests a perfect habitat. But is it?
There's never been any effort to spray our dying forests with pesticides, which I would think to be a logical step. Instead they're being allowed to die and the fires are wiping out millions of acres.
I wonder, is it possible chemtrails actually ARE real and maybe spraying a desiccant to not only fund the climate change agenda but also fuel fores fires to efficienly clear the land for 15 minute smart cities?
I think I smell bill gates every time the sky fills with chemtrails that linger for hours.

Personally, I can't believe there isn't already a massive petition / campaign mounting to recall NewSCUM effective 30 days ago!
I honestly don't think it's even possible to make as many colossal blunders as this governor has made with the fires! I mean, you could write an entire encyclopedia on how NOT to manage a crisis and Newsom would be the poster child for every single sentence.
I can only hope after this that Newsom's political career is OVER!
I'm actually kind of surprised there aren't lynch mobs running up and down the street with pitchforks and torches.

It's been brewing and is hitting the press.
They essentially got a financial bailout during COVID. They will need another bailout for just their last resort state insurance fund which has a hundred billion less than it needs (or more), not to mention everything else they can't afford to pay for.
They're in deep trouble as a state and Newsom should probably already be several years into an extended prison stay.

Well, not to be Debbie Downer here, but there are several factors which contribute to what you are seeing. First, Idaho is kind of flanked by desert or very arid areas on three sides. Right in the center you have the Continental Divide (i.e.Rockies) traversing from SSE to NNW through the center of the State. Convection and humidity cause cloud formations over the mountains.
Secondly, Idaho is situated directly under major east-west and north-south air corridors, and because of its location overhead aviation traffic is usually at "cruise altitude" where both the humidity and temperature are both very low. Low temps and low humidity are ideal conditions for cloud formation. Because turbine engines compress large volumes of surrounding air as part of the ignition process, plus byproducts of burning hydrocarbons (jet fuel), and the combination of these is water vapor (clouds). All a jet contrails are is long skinny linear clouds. I'll get to the third thing in a moment, but I wanted to point out you hit an actual phenomenon on the head when you said some of these contrails "linger". These are called "persistent contrails", and the skies over Idaho create the perfect environment for persistent contrails, so yes, they do "linger".
Third and lastly, commercial aircraft fly along imaginary lanes in the sky called "air corridors"; they even have names much like streets do. Aircraft at the same altitude will often fly along the same air corridor. Aircraft in a crossing direction fly at different altitudes, also along an air corridor. In any given corridor aircraft are spaced apart like cars on a highway. Because of this spacing they pass over the same point on the ground at different times. Winds aloft (generally the Jetstream) blow these contrails sideways, so the next aircraft appears to be making a parallel track, but it's really not; it's the same track just at a later time. Because of Idaho's proximity to major air centers like Seattle to the west, and Denver to the south, there is quite a bit of traffic traversing over Idaho going to these destinations. The result is what appears like a series of parallel tracks across the sky. This phenomenon is what gives rise to all the "chemtrail" conspiracy theories.
And just on a side note; there is a thing called "cloud seeding" where crystalized salts are released from aircraft to 'seed' existing cloud formations and (hopefully) make them grow. The idea is they will grow to the point they will become saturated with moisture (which will increase the humidity) and drop the "dew point" down below the precipitation threshold. Once this happens they can create clouds which will generate rain and/or snow. It's not done a whole lot though because it requires very specialized equipment and it's expensive.
Lastly, regarding dropping beetles to cause beetle kill; I certainly hope there is never such a plan to do this, and I'm not aware of any. Just looking at the vast beetle-kill areas here in Colorado is unbelievable in terms of the devastation they bring.
Just my .02.

"dropping beetles to cause beetle kill"
I was suggesting chemtrails may actually be a desiccccant contributing the extreme drought cinditions. If you want to burn out a large area what better way than to dry out all the timber first?
I know the arguments against chemtrails, but whe our airport closed and the two flights a day that fly the routes over my area to southern Idaho filled the skys throughout the summer with criss-scrossed 'vapor' trails in 20 minutes time on some days that didn't dissipate for 2-3 hours it didn't seem normal to me.
There are some flights out of Spokane each day flying to Boise but their flight path is nowhere near all of the criss-crossed trails. The explainations like atmosphere, wind drift, etc. just don't fit with known flight paths and such limited air traffic.
Seatc has been a busy place all through my childhood yet the skies never filled with vapor trails that lasted for hours. Maybe airplane fuel fornulas have drastically changed causing this effect; I don't know.
How long have TPTB been planning 15 minute cities? Convincing people to give up their homes and acreage sounds like an impossible fight to me and the expense of clearing the land would be astornomical, but a forest fire would do the trick and the planners get to walk away with clean hands and no paper trail.
I'm watching Phoenix closely.
I'm no longer able to sit on the debunking side of the room anymore, just from what I witness in my area every spring/summer/fall. I just know the skies didn't constantly fill with these trails until the 1990's so something changed. Maybe it's 'climate change', maybe not.
Disclaimer: I don't believe, nor do I disbelieve. I'm willing to consider ll information, no mtter how absurd it may seem on the surface.

Sorry, I was just giving you the aviation perspective as that's kind of my line work.

I have never been very in to following the chemtrail stuff. To me it didn't seem like much in the grand scheme of things as far as how much really nefarious stuff is going on.
We need cessation of essentially every research, experimentation, and scientific endeavor the US has been paying for. If things are too nefarious for the public to audit they shouldn't be funded. I can think of several things we're dealing with the repercussions of now because of secret science experiments that no sane person would approve of.
Florida, essentially a swamp, has controlled burns all the time to prevent severe wildfires. Not out in the swamps really, but they do strategic reduction of fuels around places where people are clustered. That way, if there is an accidental fire, there isn't decades worth of dried tinder stacked up or massive dense vegetation to burn. In California it seems like there isn't any kind of plan even though it's arid and been in a drought for a long time. The industry surrounding these disasters, from response to clean-up, is many times bigger than the amount it would cost to just start properly taking care of basic preventative public safety. I just don't get how the most basic best practices for forest management and fire prevention are ignored in a state that has such a reputation as leading in environmental policy. California provides many examples of where activism has replaced environmental science, to the point of entirely ignoring science.
I'm guessing that the activists have made doing things like controlled burns impossible. It could also be that the Harvard MBAs and whoever else they have running LA and the fire departments don't even know about fuel reduction or fire planning. There are several significant points of failure before we even get to all the missing water that gets diverted to billionaires. The water intensive desert farming is probably going to need to change, but billionaires should not get a drop of water until the basic life safety needs of the citizens are met.

Native Americans used to do controlled burns every few years to prevent massive forest fires, especially in Californis. Along came the 'transfer of power' to the DC machine and new branches of better governance-like the forest service. the shift was massive amounts of money to fund it and unlimited resources to put out ever fire that ever errupted.
I was just a little kid when people were arguing over how insane that approach was and what the outcome would evemtually be. They were right all along!
So were the scientists that warned deforestation-especially of the Rain Forests-would upset the entire ecosystem and create not only droughts but dissrupt weater patterns worldwide, causing increased 'natural' disasters.
At the time all dissenting views were labled as fear-mongering and conspiracy theories. Pseudo-scientists and crackpots.
I've had the privilage of living long enough to see how easy it is to manipulate the common folk with big words, charts and graphs it takes a degree to understand. It's like magic!
I don't know if we even have honest research anymore, as the results always seem to control a narrative and the outcome for profit. I'm not sure how anyone who's lived through Covid can't see that.
And FCD; no appology needed. I waste a lot of free time (which I have in abundance-lol) dreaming up conspiracy theories, looking for ulterior motives behind official narratives.
I really appreciated your common sense response!
I'm just playing devils advocate; what IF there is an inkling of truth to some/part/all of the CT's? What might they be?
I think I deserve an 'A' for effort with my twist!
And I'm sticking to my guns that I've never seen skies react to plane traffic like they have since the 90's. It could very well be some phenomenon I don't have the educational knowledge to understand.

Well, son of a bitch. I didn't expect to see it. Hard to see any down side if it's being properly reviewed and prioritized for restoring whatever real functions are there. Gut the rest.

America is on a Pollyanna high right now, and as other forums have shown nobody wants to consider a possible downside.
I've always wondered why the US supports other countries at the expense of our own, suspecting it was to buy 'loyality'. We don't get loyality or friendship; we get backstabbing, double deaaling and subservience.
The price of buying friendship, loyality of love is the cost keeps going up. Look at how much Ukrainian loyality has cost us over the past four years-and it wasn't even for the benefit of tUS citizens; it was for protecting a hanful of criminals.
I think it's great that the illegal immigrant crisis is being dealt with so swiftly and the waste of government funds is being addressed but wonder what the 'equal and opposite' reaction will be.
Trump's presidency is a pivotial mament in the history of the world, though it may take decades to fully understand and realize the results, just as obama's dealings with Ukraine during his term is still waiting to be fully exposed.
At least we're not stuck with the sense that 'nothing ever changes' anymore.
