United CEO assassin's manifesto

#1
Credit to this X account @coco_writes_ for providing it. I haven't been following this really, but it happened across my feed.

It's been taken down but is still on Archive, posted on the third of December.

It's actually quite well written and I don't disagree with his assessment of the healthcare system. It's just the same model at work everywhere else. It's an indictment of the entire thing, IMHO.

I can't really imagine a scenario where assassinating CEOs will help the cause.

Quote:Do not mistake my words as those of a lunatic or a lone fanatic.

Sorry, Luigi, you defaulted to lunatic when you committed the murder.

Apparently he had a notebook or something that looked to be a confession and had a silenced "ghost" gun. I don't understand the cloak and dagger stuff with fake names and erratic travel if he always planned on being caught anyway. It's now being reported his fingerprints were at the scene, which isn't hard to prevent. Why even get a silencer and then why not dump all of it as soon as you were clear from the scene?

Lots of questions, but the inconsistencies may be down to him being nuts. Weird case.

Apparently it was a McDonald's worker that called to report him and they got review bombed.

I guess he's got fans.

"Apparently it was a McDonald's worker that called to report him "

I'm not so sure.

"We implemented a new face recognition software to McDonald’s digital kiosks
Recognizing your face and emotions and providing you with the most welcoming experience every time you visit a restaurant.

About the client

McDonald’s restaurants are found in about 120 countries and territories around the world and serve more than 69 million customers each day. McDonald’s operates 37,855 restaurants worldwide, employing more than 1,7 million employees worldwide.

There are currently a total of 2,770 company-owned locations and 35,085 franchised locations, which includes 21,865 locations franchised to conventional franchisees, 7,225 locations licensed to developmental licensees, and 6,175 locations licensed to foreign affiliates. All the data is from Wikipedia as of 2019.

The goal of the project was to introduce state-of-the-art face recognition technology to McDonald’s. Face recognition can offer many benefits, for the company itself and for the customers.

The technology uses a facial recognition system that can find out the person sex, age, even sentiment. Those findings can be used in various ways. Statistical data and advanced meal recommendation systems are just some of the proposed use cases.

The basis of the project was to showcase the technology on a McDonald’s conference. The first step was to leave your data and meal preferences on an onsite tablet and mobile app. Next step was placing a user in front of an ordering kiosk booth. At the same time, the nearby big screen was showing what happens when the recognition software kicks in."

I'm not sure. I read a couple things about the person that reported it may not get the reward because they called 911 instead of the tip line, so I gathered that it was a person. Pretty much all information sources are trash unless one is willing to run down the details. Somebody may have sent out a post saying an employee was trying to get the reward without any real source and then 500 morons will fabricate more details. Then the "fact-checker" types will give detailed breakdowns of why they're being denied the reward.

It's interesting they memoryholed his manifesto so quickly. Too much inconvenient truth in there... like the tranifesto from that nutter that shot up a Catholic school.

It's also interesting that we knew more about Luigi in a few days than they know about Crooks after 5 months time. Odd how inconsistant the investigative agency are; competent here, incompetent there kid of deal,
