Okay, I'm tired of innuendo and beating around the bush. 

I've worked hard all my life, very hard.  I busted my nuts through freezing cold, blazing hot and countless other unpleasant environmental conditions to "earn" a pay check.

I am going to be perfectly honest here...I paid my dues not to have to deal with some worthless fuck who never had a job demanding to live on my sidewalk, or behind my garage.  I'm not going to tolerate it.  Call me "elite".  Even though I am far from 'elite', I categorically reject this tidal wave of homeless people who just don't think they should have to work. 

 Back in the 20's and 30's, hey, you didn't have to work...at all.  You could also starve (fuckers).  You had a choice, work to live, or live in a tent on the sidewalk and starve.  I have exactly zero sympathy for 90% of these homeless people.  They MAKE themselves homeless.  They don't WANT a home.  They don't WANT the responsibility. 

I'm going to stand up right here and now and say I reject this lifestyle.  Outright reject it.   If a person is handicapped or unable to work (NOT because they are drug addict), then that's different, BUT...fully 95% of these homeless people are not in that category!  I don't think we should spend billions to fix the 5% by having to cover the other  95% of freeloaders in the process.

Yes, I'm grumpy.  I'm always grumpy.

There is no reason to feel sympathy for people who choose the homeless lifestyle, after all it's what they want. What I take issue with is your suggestion that this is 90% of homeless people. The vast majority of homeless people would love to have a house. Often they used to, and lost it sometimes due to their own mistakes, sometimes from just bad luck. This belief that most homeless people want to be homeless is a myth.

During the summer, there are homeless people out here in the National Forest, public parks, and around the rivers. They have campsites, and if they aren't out-of-sight stealth camping on easements, they will be on federal land and obeying the rules by moving around every couple of weeks. For those who are down on their luck, it is a seasonal option that I respect, unlike those who live on the streets downtown, regardless of how they ended up there.
