This question does not include other members of the Abrahamic faiths because none of them believe in the return of Jesus Christ as the messiah of mankind. Perhaps Satanism qualifies but that is neither here nor there. 

In your opinion, will the Anti-Christ be someone obvious to spot like some bumbling progressive Marxist fool or will he be a very capable wolf in sheep's clothing? 

Evil is after all the ability to sell a lie as truth at its foundation.

I find myself wonder if the antichrist isn't more a metaphor for the evil potential that resides in all of us; some one person that has it in spades, like Hitler gid.

How hard would it be to hide evil behind government legislation while presenting an angelic countenance to the public? Could the antichrist be a collective of all who have turned away from the Creator?

I'm still struggling with the fact that the 6,000 year Biblical history of the world doesn't come close to real history of the world history. The only way to reconcile the desparity in my mind is a periodic reset, with a dominant group tising out of the bottleneck to rewrite the hew narative showing themselves to be an elite class.

It's strange how ones' views can change over a lifetime.

Oh, heck yeah! People make a big deal out of the FBI classifying it and then redacting a portion, but the only redaction was thei notes they made on the subject matter, such as deeming the book to be pretty much fiction and released it for publication.
Thomas' book started me down quite the rabbit hole which led to James Churchward's books, starting with The Lost Continent of Mu and on to the works of Charles Hapgood.'s Earth Crust Displacement Theory.
The first book I ever read that freed my mind to think outside the box was Edgar Cayce's There Is a River' and 'The Sleeping Profit' back when I was in my 20's.

They all make a lot more sense than the program we've been given to follow. Fear can be a powerful motivator but what happens when the majority overcome their fears? I think the world may be edging closer to finding out.

Which 1000 years did you have in mind?

I would think that Christians converting heathens through the grace of steel, killing witches etc had nothing to do with Christ or a Christ-like approach.
