It sounds like with a good writer your experiences could've been good content for a show. You're very good at expressing the atmosphere of the situation. 


I bet those vinyls you have stored away are able to trigger some cherished memories. 


Beer

It's kind of funny and ironic actually, the station I worked at was almost exactly like WKRP.  I was never sure if it was life imitating art, or art imitating real life.  There was practically a one for one comparison to every character on that show.  The only character we didn't have an exact match for was Jennifer Marlowe (Loni Anderson).  There were some cute girls who worked in sales though.

On kind of an interesting anecdotal note, the characters in WKRP were based on real life persons in broadcast radio.  No real surprise there I guess.
