Just to illustrate I'm not a complete curmudgeon, I offer the following...
Illegal aliens are going to be deported, by the tens of thousands, as they should be. And, they will be deported to Mexico, the country who allowed them to traverse their country and enter the US; again, as it should be. This is on Mexico, full responsibility. I support ICE. I support deportation of illegal aliens. I do support issuance of seasonal migrant worker visas, but the details of how this works will have to be worked out. I know some people who have family members who are migrant workers, and they are perfectly happy returning to Mexico after the harvest season where many of them live like Kings in Mexico.
Okay, to my point...
Now I see articles about the Mexican government building large encampments and shelters in anticipation of the influx of deported illegal aliens from the US. This is a good thing. Mexico should do this.
Sounds pretty curmudgeon-ey so far, right? Well, there's more...
If aid were to be provided, I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with some aid being provided to Mexico to assist these migrants as (hopefully) Mexico finds a way to deport them to their respective countries like Guatemala, Iran, China, and so many others. I am human after all! LOL! But seriously, any aid in this fashion would pale in comparison to the billions of dollars of drag these illegals bring onto the American economy...when everything is free for them. This must end.
So, a little aid to Mexico to encourage the overall process might just be a good thing.
What say you?
